Drotten
Intill S:t Lars ruin i Visby ligger systerkyrkan Drotten, byggd på 1200-talet.

Namnet har kyrkan fått från ett gammelnordiska ord för härskare och Gud. Kyrkan, som även gick under namnet S:ta Trinitatis, var vigd åt den Heliga Trefaldigheten.
Det finns en sägen om en rik köpman i Visby som hade två döttrar som inte kom överens. Eftersom de inte kunde gå till samma kyrka lät han bygga två kyrkor intill varandra, S:t Lars och Drotten. De kallas därför för syskonkyrkorna.
Idag är Drotten en mycket vacker ruin. Ruinen brukar vara öppen sommartid.

The church got its name from an Old Norse word for ruler and God. The church, which also went by the name S:sta Trinitatis, was dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
There is a story about a rich merchant in Visby who had two daughters who did not get along. Since they could not go to the same church, he had two churches built next to each other, St. Lars and Drotten. They are therefore called the sister churches.
Today, Drotten is a very beautiful ruin. The ruin is usually open during the summer.

Kościół otrzymał swoją nazwę od staronordyckiego słowa oznaczającego władcę i Boga. Kościół, który również nosił nazwę S:sta Trinitatis, był poświęcony Trójcy Świętej.
